Role Overview

This part-time internship is designed for students who are excited about creative technology, experience design, and building AI‑enabled tools that push the boundaries between digital and live environments. Interns will join small project pods to prototype tools that support creative intelligence, streamline processes, and elevate the overall digital experience of Hartmann Studio’s client events. 

We are looking for students who are not only technically curious, but who bring a creative operator mindset. If you’re eager to explore how technology can drive innovation in storytelling, experience design, and large‑scale event production, this is a great fit.

Responsibilities

Interns will be assigned to one or more primary project tracks based on skills and interest.

Areas of Focus May Include…

  • AI & Creative Intelligence: Explore and prototype AI-enabled tools, workflows, and systems that support creative ideation, content development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Workflow & Process Innovation: Identify opportunities to use technology and AI to streamline internal processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational overhead.
  • AI-Assisted Content & Experience Development: Support the development of creative concepts, content, and client-facing experiences using emerging AI and digital tools.
  • Internal Tools & Systems: Help design and develop lightweight tools, databases, interfaces, or other systems that make information and resources more accessible and useful to Hartmann teams.
  • Human-AI Collaboration: Explore effective ways for creative and production teams to incorporate AI into their existing workflows, including experimentation with LLMs, agentic systems, and other emerging technologies.
  • Creative Technology Prototyping: Rapidly prototype and test new ideas at the intersection of technology, creativity, and experience design.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Digital Media, New Media, HCI, UX, Creative Technology, or a related field
  • Experience or interest in UI/UX design, prototyping, or creative technology
  • Familiarity with backend development, database work, or building internal tools
  • Interest in LLMs, GenAI, or agentic workflows
  • Academic, professional, or personal projects that demonstrate curiosity about creative tech
  • Interest in experience design (digital, live, or hybrid) strongly preferred
  • Ability to connect technical solutions to creative needs
  • Collaborative, iterative work style
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Compensation

  • $25–35 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and project alignment.
